Areolar size discrepancies and breast augmentation
The nipple and areolar tissue of the breasts are an important landmark for the breast mound. An uncommon variation among women is areolar size asymmetries. These size discrepancies usually do not amount to a significant concern for the woman. This is because the woman is usually aware that it exists and has realizes that this is going to exist even after the breast augmentation plastic surgery. Please note how the areolas appear on these types of breast mounds after their breast implants.

This woman has had a few pregnancies and breast feeding experiences. Note how her natural breast shapes and tendencies persist after her breast augmentation. Also note how her breast implants significantly improve her breast shape and nipple positions and make her areolar size asymmetries less noticeable.

This woman has marked areolar size asymmetry with overall very nice breast characteristics. She was only 6 months out from her breast augmentation. Note that she still has some upper pole fullness. Her breast implants should end up settling a bit more. She is pleased with her result currently and is not concerned about this extra fullness since it is not noticeable in her bras, bathing suits or clothes.
