Bruising after augmentation
Complications are risks of all cosmetic surgeries. Fortunately, the risks and complications of these breast enhancement surgeries are relatively rare or uncommon. It is important to understand that they do exist though. Bruising may be a local bruise that occurs from the skin incision or it may be a sign of a deeper bleed with the breast tissues or under the muscle.

Approximately 99% of Dr. Brown’s breast augmentation patients will not have a bruise after their surgery. This is an example of bruising along the lower outer surgical area. This occurred 3 days after her surgery. She has been seen in follow up and she has gone on to heal without further issues and large breast pockets that allow the implants to move without restriction.
