This woman developed right breast cancer and requested immediate reconstruction using her back muscle. She also had a breast implant placed at the same surgery as the breast removal. This way she never went without having a breast mound. The markings depict the skin that will be removed by the general surgeon (to include the breast biopsy site) and the skin/muscle taken from her back to reconstruct her new breast mound. She did not want a second surgery and declined nipple reconstruction.
