Dear Dr. Brown, This thank you is long overdue!  I just cannot thank you enough for changing my life in such a positive way…you truly made my dream come true… to feel like a woman:)  Being a nurse, I am extremely critical of the medical industry.  You exceeded all of my expectations.  Your professionalism, knowledge, and tenderness about what you do is so apparent.  It is very obvious to me how passionate you are about your work and your patients.  From the very first call into your office, I knew that my plastic surgery experience was going to be great!  In fact, it was so wonderful from my first appointment that I knew you were going to be the plastic surgeon to perfom my procedure!  There was no need to go any further with any more consultations.  You made me feel so incredibly comfortable because I have to tell you, I was mortified to unveil my embarrassing chest!  Within 2 weeks you were able to get me on your schedule and change my life!  Your staff is amazing, they were just incredible girls!  I imagine you must be very proud of them representing you…what an asset they are.  They truly made me feel like a part of your “family” there.  My entire journey with you and your plastic surgery staff has been incredible.  And for that I am extremely grateful for all y’all have done for me.  I am extremely happy with my result:)  Thank you from the very bottom of my heart. read more

I want to thank you for giving me a breast augmentation experience to remember. I drove up to the Washington D.C./Virginia area from Georgia with my fiancé and had the breast augmentation surgery while on vacation. You were great and I am very happy with the results. We had our breast augmentation consultation and breast implant surgery in the same day and I was up and going right after that. We went to the mall to shop and later relaxed. We saw most of D.C. sites and we had a lot of fun. Thank you again for everything. read more

I went on 11 breast implant exchange consultations within a 6 month period looking for a doctor in my immediate New York/New Jersey home area to perform an implant exchange. My breast implants were seven years old and had bottomed out – I was just no longer happy with how they were positioned and wanted to also go bigger. I was discouraged by the consultations – either I was not comfortable with the doctor – or the doctor was discouraging and made a big to-do about “sewing pockets” to reposition the breast implants – or the cost was just prohibitive. I had paid just over $5,000 the first breast augmentation and I just wasn’t willing to pay double that just to get the breast mounds looking back to how they were supposed to be. I had just about given up on the idea of having the breast implant exchange surgery when my boyfriend really stepped up and really started doing research on the Internet. We researched for about two months constantly – investigating different informational sites, doctors and the work they had performed. We sent out emails for info and went back and forth with many offices, collecting info and trying to form impressions / expectations. Through one statistical site, we found that prices were dramatically different in areas other states such as Virginia, Maryland and Washington,DC, compared to the New York area – for the same procedure and what we saw as being the same if not better result, depending on the doctor. As it turns out, we saw in the pictures posted online – and found out later firsthand ourselves – the fact that someone is a plastic surgeon from a big city like New York City means nothing about their talent or the quality of their work. read more

I thought about getting breast implants for years before I actually gathered enough courage to start my research. After my mom received her successful breast augmentation I was more motivated than ever to start my search for my surgeon. I went to three different plastic surgeons for consultations. Dr. Brown was the first, he gave me great advice…what to look for in a GREAT surgeon, questions to ask, the appropriate implant size for me according to my life style/body shape and many other topics. I left his office feeling more confident than ever that I was making the right decision going forward with my surgery. After going to my next two consultations I found that I had the highest comfort level with Dr. Brown. I strongly advice going to more than one consultation, it reassured me that Dr. Brown was indeed the right doctor for me and that he did know the business very well. You know you have chosen the perfect plastic surgeon when you can leave all the decisions in their hands. I had so much trust in Dr. Brown that I had no doubt he would pick the perfect breast implant size. read more

As a result of breastfeeding and large weight loss in the past years, and now at the age of 48, I was left with very little breasts with no fullness to them at all. After a lot of thought and research, I decided to take the next step and see a plastic surgeon. I chose Dr. Michael J. Brown because he had done an in-office procedure on me a few years prior and I felt confident going to him. Also, breast augmentation is his specialty. When I finally made the decision to proceed with breast augmentation, I had a couple visits with Dr. Brown and then we set the surgery date. In the next few weeks before the breast augmentation surgery date, well-meaning acquaintances would tell me horror stories and I would get very anxious and have to call Dr. Brown’s office. Each time one of his Patient Care Coordinators would take the time to talk me through it and reassure me. I was also concerned about being “too large.” read more

I had been thinking about having breast augmentation for some time, having had a child and lost breast tissue as a result of nursing. I felt out of proportion and missed having the breast fullness I had prior to childbirth. My biggest concern was looking natural with breast augmentation. I had several friends that had undergone the breast augmentation procedure and many looked like they had glued water balloons to their chest or had funny, cone-shaped appendages that apparently cost them thousands of dollars. read more

When I started my research about breast augmentation, I found numerous websites and articles advising against the breast augmentation surgery and some even condemning the practice. I deliberated for three years before I finally decided to go through with the breast implant surgery. I made this decision in spite of the negative publicity because I realized what I would be gaining was worth the risk. For some women, this may not be the case, but I believed it was the right choice for me. read more
